The terms
What is covered
- For 10 years from delivery, the precast concrete parts Freestone casts — wall, corner, lid and floor panels, the stair and the lintel — are covered against loss of structural integrity and against defects in manufacturing.
- For 1 year from completion, when Freestone performs the installation, the workmanship of that installation is covered.
- This is a limited warranty: it covers what this page lists, on the conditions below.
What we will do
We inspect the problem, in person or by photo and video, and repair or replace the affected part. Which one is our call, and the repair or replacement is at our cost.
What the warranty needs from you
- Register your kit to activate the warranty. Email us the installation photos your kit paperwork lists — taken at set points during the build, including the gravel base and the lid in place before backfill.
- The kit is installed to Freestone's instructions and the stamped drawing: on the base the drawing calls for, on a poured footing for any above-grade installation, with the drainage and backfill it specifies.
- Contact us within 30 days of finding a problem, and before any repair is made.
What is not covered
- Parts Freestone does not cast, such as doors, hatches, hardware and pipework. These carry their manufacturer's warranty, where there is one.
- Fine surface or shrinkage cracks that do not affect the structure.
- Damage from ground movement, flooding or loads beyond what the stamped drawing was designed for, and damage from alterations such as cutting new openings.
- Site work by others: excavation, footings, drainage, backfill and waterproofing.
- Workmanship on installations Freestone did not perform.
